High school English teacher

I love the in-depth discussions we have about different aspects of education. Everything from our favourite ways to use apps in the classroom to strategies for inclusive education, which is especially relevant to teaching in remote areas of Chile.”

I first met Fiona during my Masters of TESOL at the University of Queensland in 2020. I was interested in pursuing TESOL certificates at the Institute of Continuing and TESOL Education and Fiona was able to advise me on my options and became a real mentor.
As a high school teacher in Chile, I was keen to learn more about Australian approaches to secondary education and reached out to Fiona for advice. She is always very generous with her time and I love the in-depth discussions we have about different aspects of education. Everything from our favourite ways to use apps like Canva in the classroom, to strategies for inclusive education and supporting students who are having difficulty concentrating in class.

I know that Fiona has worked with lots of Chilean teachers before so I appreciated her practical advice, which was especially relevant to teaching in remote areas of Chile. It's great that we can share these experiences as educators and I hope that through the Queensland Institute Pty Ltd, many more teachers will benefit from her advice!
