Our Story
Our journey began over a decade ago at The University of Queensland's Institute for Continuing & TESOL Education, where our founders, Philippa Coleman and Fiona Wiebusch, led teacher training and professional development programs in over 20 countries. Here, Philippa and Fiona honed their approach to teacher education and blended course delivery.
In December 2020, amidst a global pandemic, we saw a transformative shift in teacher education as the world transitioned online. Drawing from our experience delivering high-quality, interactive teacher development programs, we felt compelled to respond. With the support and inspiration of our global partners, we founded The Queensland Institute Pty Ltd.
Since our inception, we have partnered with schools, universities, Ministries of Education, and international development agencies to deliver teacher training to more than 2,430+ educators in 14 countries. Our online and in-person programs are proven impactful and efficient in helping global educators teach with confidence and creativity.
