Vicki is a teacher development specialist with 25 years' experience in language education and teacher training. She has worked extensively in the university sector in Australia and supported academic development programs on-site in Brazil, Chile, Japan and Macau, and online in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Her publications to date have focused on her passions for action research, language assessment, teaching English through music and song, and learning design. For almost 20 years at the University of Queensland’s (UQ) Institute for Continuing & TESOL Education, Vicki designed and delivered customised programs in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL), English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Since December 2020, Vicki's consulting role with The Queensland Institute has enriched our Lecture Ready and School Success programs. Vicki also supports projects in the international education sector in Brisbane, directing the UQ School of Psychology’s international student choir, UQ Voices, and promotes joy and creativity in language teaching through her website and YouTube channel, Teaching in Harmony. Fluent in Spanish and Russian, Vicki's own commitment to language learning reflects her dedication to transformative education.
