I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Philippa and Fiona over the years while I was at the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong.  They always brought professionalism, expertise, passion and creativity to our English Immersion programs for our students studying PGDE and BABEd English Language Education programmes. 

Philippa and Fiona’s approach to course design is responsive and respectful to the needs of our students. One of their most outstanding qualities is their ability to adapt courses to meet the needs of individual students and cohorts.  They are well-prepared for meetings with faculty staff and always ready to listen to our suggestions, demonstrating their understanding of our teaching context and willingness to truly collaborate. Whenever I suggested an idea about the course they would always take it one step further. Long after graduation, our students still talk about immersion; such is the impact of their programmes. The immersion programmes in our Faculty have been commended by External Reviewers of the Programme and a large part of that is down to Philippa and Fiona.

Having observed their classes over the years, I also appreciate their commitment to creating a supportive learning environment that promotes genuine interaction, participation and engagement. I always had confidence that our students' learning experience was in safe hands with them and I am delighted we can continue our international collaboration into the future.
